Reminder: CCC Tchoupitoulas on-ramp will re-open Saturday morning

Reminder: The Tchoupitoulas St. on-ramp to the west bank-bound CCC bridge will reopen to the public on Saturday, July 13, in the morning. The west bank-bound Magazine St. on-ramp will close to the public beginning Saturday night. These traffic configurations will last through phase 2 of construction and allow contractors to run conduits on the inside section of the bridge.
Reminder: Lane closure shifts on the Cresent City Connection Bridge (US 90 B), associated with the $21 million Cresent City Connection Decorative Lighting Project, are scheduled to begin Thursday night (July 11) and last through the weekend. All work is weather permitting.

- Note: The US 90 east bank-bound bridge has already undergone adjustments to allow contractors to work under the bridge on the inside lanes. The barriers on the outside lane have been removed and added to the far left (inside) lane. Under these adjustments, the HOV lanes of the bridge have been reduced to one lane, as contractors now have access to the innermost lane.
- The outside lane barriers on the US 90 west bank-bound bridge, which have been in place for the last two months, will be removed and placed on the inside (left) lane during four concurrent overnight sessions. The timeline is listed below. Please note these closures are only for the west bank-bound bridge.
Thursday, July 11, 2024, 9 PM—5 AM:
- Double right lane closure beginning at 9 PM. The two left lanes will remain open to traffic as the barricades are removed from the right lane. The Tchoupitoulas St. on-ramp will remain closed. The Magazine St. on-ramp will be open.
Friday, July 12, 2024, 5 AM – 9 PM:
- Single lane closure of the right lane. All other lanes will remain open. The Tchoupitoulas St. on-ramp will remain closed. The Magazine St. on-ramp will be open.
Friday, July 12, 2024, 9 PM—5 AM:
- Double right lane closure beginning at 9 PM. The two left lanes will remain open to traffic as the barricades are removed from the right lane. The Tchoupitoulas St. on-ramp will remain closed. The Magazine St. on-ramp will be open.
Saturday, July 13, 2024, 5 AM – 9 PM:
- By 5 AM, the Tchoupitoulas St. on-ramp will be re-opened to the public and remain open through the second phase.
- No lane closures. The Magazine St. on-ramp will remain open.
Saturday, July 13, 2024, 9 PM—5 AM:
- Beginning Saturday night, the Magazine St. on-ramp will be closed to the public through the second phase. The Tchoupitoulas St. on-ramp will be open.
- Double left lane closure beginning at 9 PM. The two right lanes will be open to traffic as the barricades are installed in the far left lane. The Tchoupitoulas St. on-ramp will remain open. The Magazine St. on-ramp will be closed.
Sunday, July 14, 2024, 5 AM – 9 PM:
- Single lane closure of the left lane. All other lanes will be open to the public. The Tchoupitoulas St. on-ramp will remain open. The Magazine St. on-ramp will remain closed.
Sunday, July 14, 2024, 9 PM—5 AM:
- Double left lane closure beginning at 9 PM. The two right lanes will be open to traffic as the barricades are installed in the far left lane. The Tchoupitoulas St. on-ramp will remain open. The Magazine St. on-ramp will be closed.
Monday, July 15, 2024, 5 AM:
- A single-lane closure of the far left lane of the west bank-bound bridge will be in effect 24 hours a day as crews complete conduit installation for the new LED lighting system. This closure is expected to last 6-8 weeks, weather permitting.
