METAIRIE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces the start of a $2.5 million project to install turn lanes, patch and overlay a 1.5 mile stretch of La. 3152 – also known as Clearview Parkway – from Mounes Boulevard to the north end of the railroad overpass near U.S. 61 (Airline Highway). The project is designed to restore and preserve the existing roadway.

Tomorrow night, crews will begin work with alternating lane closures at La. 3152/Clearview Parkway in each direction, from Mounes to Airline, with one lane remaining open beginning at 9 p.m. The closures will be in effect from Tuesday, July 9 thru Thursday, July 11, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., ending at 6:00 a.m., Friday, July 12.

This closure will accommodate vehicles 12-feet wide or smaller, allowing them to pass safely through the construction zone. Related work will also include curb and panel repairs. The project is scheduled for completion by January 2014.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
