DOTD announces Algiers and Chalmette Ferry interruptions

NEW ORLEANS, La. – On Monday, June 24, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will be conducting electrical tests and maintenance, causing brief intermittent interruptions to ferry service at Algiers Point and Chalmette, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Pedestrians may use the RTA Bus Service as an alternative route to the east bank. RTA bus routes and schedules can be found at www.norta.com or by calling 504-248-3900.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates your patience as we complete the tests and maintenance.
