The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Monday, July 8, 2024 construction will begin on LA 1239 in Grant Parish (weather permitting). This work will begin at the intersection of LA 1239 and US 71 and proceed West for 1.329 miles to the route end. The intent of this project is milling asphalt pavement, pavement widening, asphalt concrete overlay, and other related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Diamond B Construction Co. L.L.C., in the amount of $1,202,002.31. The work associated with this project should take approximately 45 working days to complete.
Permit/Detour section
Thru traffic will be maintained at all times with oversize and emergency vehicles allowed passage. There will be no detour routes for this project.
