UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 549, Union Parish
(UPDATE): DOTD advises motorists that LA 549 in Union Parish has been REOPENED following the replacement of a cross drain pipe. Thank you for your patience while these necessary repairs were completed.

Original notification:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, a section of LA 549 in Union Parish is closed until further notice.
This closure is located approximately 2 miles north of its intersection with LA 348 (see included map), and is necessary to allow for the replacement of a cross drain pipe that is impacting the integrity of the roadway.
At this time, there is no anticipated reopening date. Additional information will be issued when it is available.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
