UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 348 in Union Parish
UPDATE - DOTD advises motorists that LA 348 in Union Parish is cleared and has been REOPENED.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, LA 348 in Union Parish is closed to through traffic until further notice.
This closure is located approximately 1.5 miles east of its intersection with LA 549, and is necessary to allow for the removal of fallen trees on the roadway and work on the power lines which were impacted in last night's storm.
Additional information will be issued when it is available.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
