UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 143 near Rocky Branch in Union Parish
(UPDATE 6/8/2024): DOTD advises motorists that LA 143 in Union Parish has been REOPENED. We appreciate your patience while this work was underway.

Original notification:
Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Saturday, June 8, 2024, LA 143 will be closed approximately 5.7 miles south of LA 2 near Rocky Branch.
This closure is scheduled to last until Sunday, June 9, 2024, and is necessary to allow DOTD to replace a cross drain pipe.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles must detour.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
