US 190 (E I-10 Service Road to Yaupon Street) St. Tammany Parish Lane Closures

TIME EXTENDED

 

There will be alternating lane closures on both the Eastbound and Westbound lanes of US 190 (Gause Blvd.) between the East I-10 Service Road (Milepoint 273.4) and Yaupon Street (Milepoint 273.5) while crews remove the lane separator system, cold plane and pave the roadway, install a new lane separator system, install a new concrete median, and place permanent roadway striping on the above project.  This work will take place nightly beginning on Tuesday, August 6th through Sunday, August 25th  between the hours of 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM (Weather permitting).  One lane will remain open at all times. 

 

Permit/Detour Section

By law, oversized loads are not allowed to travel at night.  Emergency vehicles will have access.

 

To avoid construction delays, motorists traveling Eastbound on US 190 (Gause Blvd.) should proceed onto I-10 Westbound to Exit 265 (US 190 E/Fremaux Avenue).  Turn Left (Eastbound), travel for approximately 2 miles to US 190 (S. Military Road); turn left to the intersection of Gause Blvd.  Then turn west to return to US 190 (Gause Blvd.)

 

Motorists traveling Westbound on US 190 should continue on US 190 E (Fremaux Avenue/Shortcut Hwy.) to the intersection of I-10.  Enter I-10 Eastbound, travel approximately one (1) mile to Exit 266 (US 190/Gause Blvd.).  Turn left onto Gause Blvd. to continue Westbound on US 190.
