DOTD to install metal bridge deck on the La. 70 Bayou Pierre Part Bridge

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that next week crews will begin work to remove the wooden bridge deck currently on the La. 70 Bayou Pierre Part Bridge and reinstall a steel grid bridge deck.

The bridge is located just north of Pierre Part between Lee Drive and Bayou Drive. Work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 26 and finish by Thursday, March 28.

Drivers may experience some delays in this area due to alternating lane closures. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
