NEW ORLEANS, La. – To comply with the judge's ruling, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is working to suspend Crescent City Connection operations. The changes will take effect Friday, March 8 and will result in the termination of 31 temporary workers that were hired pending the outcome of the November vote. More personnel adjustments may be needed based on budget availability and workload needs. DOTD is also working with the Workforce Commission to connect employees with other opportunities.

Additionally, to comply with the ruling, DOTD ceased collection of tolls and related services on the Crescent City Connection Bridge (CCC).  DOTD will continue to work on interim plans pending the outcome of the May 4 vote of the people.
