DOTD accepting student applications for Engineering Summer Program

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that applications are being accepted for the Engineering Summer Program. This program provides college-level students the opportunity to work in construction, maintenance, road and bridge design, and other transportation-related areas, gaining valuable work experience.

Candidates accepted into the program will work full-time for eleven weeks from June 3, 2013, to August 16, 2013. Selected students must be in good academic standing, with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.  The applicant must be a full-time college undergraduate junior or senior and a civil engineering major.  Students will earn a salary commensurate with their academic level, experience and ability.
