UPDATE: DOTD announces updated lane closure information for Geaux Wider NOLA

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces updated overnight lane closure information for the I-10 from Veterans to Clearview widening project.

  • W.B. I-10 from Transcontinental to Veterans Blvd – One left lane will be closed Monday Feb. 18, 2013, from 9:30 pm to 5:30 am Tuesday morning, Feb 19, 2013, while crews sawcut existing roadway to prepare for roadway widening. CANCELED
  • W.B. I-10 from Transcontinental to Veterans Blvd – One left lane will be closed Tuesday Feb. 19, 2013, from 9:30 pm to 5:30 am Wednesday morning, Feb 20, 2013, while crews sawcut existing roadway to prepare for roadway widening. NOW EAST BOUND

Other previously announced overnight lane closures will be updated in the near future. All planned construction activities are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to drive with caution through this and other highway work zones. Also, be alert for the presence of construction workers and equipment.

The work is part of the DOTD’s Geaux Wider NOLA program, a multi-year construction initiative to widen Interstate 10 from six to 10 lanes between Clearview Parkway and Veterans Memorial Boulevard.
