NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has reached a milestone in the processing of out-of-state toll violations and is now able to cite Mississippi drivers who do not pay their toll across the Crescent City Connection Bridge and the La. 1 Bridge at Leeville.

“We have been working towards this with the Mississippi Department of Revenue since the summer,” said Rhett Desselle, DOTD Assistant Secretary. “It was truly a team effort and being able to pursue drivers from Mississippi, who violate the toll, will greatly enhance our collection rate.”

The first batch of violation notices for Mississippi licenses went out last Friday. DOTD worked closely with the state’s department of revenue to obtain vehicle registration information in order to identify and cite violators.
