La. 64 Magnolia Bridge Replacement Project Update
October 5, 2012
Current
Crews are currently working on the concrete roadway on the west end of bridge, guard rails, spur dike, and dressing up the fore slopes. The spur dike is a permanent earthen structure (similar to a levee) that protects the end of the bridge from erosion and scour during flood events. Crews plan to install temporary striping on Monday, October 8, 2012.
Completed
Crews recently completed asphalt work on roadway on the east side of bridge.
Traffic
Additional lanes will be opened on the newly constructed pavement. Lanes on the uncompleted west end roadway will remain closed.
