I-12 St. Tammany Parish Lane Closure

Closure
Drivers should expect lane closures starting Thursday, October 18 through October 30, while the contractor places asphalt, installs rumble strips and permanent pavement markings on the roadway.  There will be alternating, intermittent closures of the inside (left) or the outside (right) lanes of Eastbound and Westbound I-12, from mile post 82.1 near Donya Drive overpass to mile post 85.6 the I-10/I-12/I-59 interchange. These closures will occur from Sunday night through Friday morning, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.; Friday night to Saturday morning, 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.; Saturday night to Sunday morning, 8:00 p.m. to noon. One lane of traffic will be open at all times.

Detour/Permit
During the nightly construction, eastbound motorists may take
• I-12 to LA 434
• South on LA 434 to US 190
• East on US 190 to I-10
• East on I-10 to I-12/I-59/I-10 interchange
Westbound motorists may take
• I-10 to US 190 (Gause Boulevard)
• East on US 190 to LA 434 (Lacombe)
• North on LA 434 to I-12

By law, oversize loads are not allowed to travel at night.  Emergency vehicles will have access.
