BATON ROUGE, La. – Today, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that it has added a link to the DOTD website for parish officials and residents to view the status of state roads debris removal, following disaster incidents.

Visitors can access the map by going to the DOTD website (www.dotd.la.gov), then clicking on the “Operations” tab, and then “Emergency Operations.”

“As we continue our response to Hurricane Isaac, we want to offer citizens affected by the storm as much real time information as we can,” said DOTD Secretary Sherri H. LeBas.

To date, DOTD has removed nearly 390,000 cubic yards of debris from areas affected by Hurricane Isaac.

DOTD is responsible for picking up storm-related debris on all routes in the state system, including all state, interstate and U.S. routes. City or parish roads would fall under local municipalities.
