Baton Rouge, LA – Interstate 10 westbound is currently closed at the I-10/I-110 split in Baton Rouge due to an overturned tractor trailer.

Police are on the scene working to clear the incident. Traffic is being diverted to I-110 north to U.S. 190 west to La. 415 south back to I-10 west.

The truck was not carrying any chemicals, so there is no hazmat involvement but clearing the accident will take some time. DOTD’s traffic management center is monitoring the traffic and will provide updates as they become available.

The closure is expected to last several hours.

Motorists need to be mindful that there are still traffic signals out Airline Highway (U.S. 61), so if utilizing this detour they should proceed with caution.
