Drivers should expect lane closures from October 16th through October 29th while crews saw cut, excavate for turn lanes, mill and pave the roadway on the following sections of the northbound and southbound directions of US 61. The closure schedule for this time are the following:
• At LA-22 to LA-939: Daily from 6am to 6pm.
• At LA-939 to LA-74: Nightly Mondays thru Thursdays from 7pm to 6am, and Saturdays and Sundays from 2am to 6pm.

This closure will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or smaller to pass thru the construction zone.  The road will be open for regular traffic, but oversize vehicles must contact the DOTD permit office prior to moving thru the construction zone. The DOTD permit office can be reached at 800-654-1433.
