Leeville, LA –  With the imminent threat now passed, today, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will resume toll collections at 1 p.m., at LA 1 in Leeville. Yesterday, DOTD suspended toll collections in response to the declared state of emergency caused by Tropical Storm Debby.

Please note that Crescent City Connection toll tags can be used on La. 1 as an appropriate form of payment. Toll collections for both bridges, La. 1 in Leeville and US 90 in New Orleans, can be paid with the same toll tag or Geaux Pass account and are valid on both facilities.

DOTD, under authority of Title 48 and as agent for the Louisiana Transportation Authority (LTA), has the ability to declare that the tolls be suspended anytime the need for evacuation or emergency services is required as determined by DOTD.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is committed to delivering transportation and public works systems that enhance the quality of life. In addition to more than 16,600 miles of roadway, including over 890 miles of interstate, DOTD supports the development of the state’s aviation, marine and rail infrastructures. Through this work, we are able to facilitate economic development, create job opportunities, improve vital evacuation routes, and make critical freight corridors safer and more efficient.
