Port Vincent Roundabout

Project Scope:
This safety project will construct a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of LA 42 and LA 431, which is located just west of Port Vincent in Ascension Parish. The project will also include new lighting in and around the roundabout.
Construction:
Now that the curb and gutter has been installed, the contractor will begin to install the roadway foundation and asphalt surfacing that meets the concrete curb and gutter.
Traffic:
No total road closures will occur however there will be times when single lane closures are necessary. Flagging crews will be present to direct traffic through the area when one lane is closed. Lane closures are limited to 7 pm to 4 am nightly during the weekdays. On the weekends, single-lane closures can begin at 7 pm Friday evening and remain closed until 4 am Monday morning. There will be no lane closures during holiday weekends.
