Fort Buhlow Bridges and Approaches Project Update

Recent Activity:
Crews are breaking up the ground at the river bottom in the cofferdam at Pier No. 15 and are placing reinforcing bar (rebar) for the pier shaft at Pier No. 14. Crews have begun excavating and placing embankment for northbound lanes of US 165/71 and laying hot mix on the southbound side of US 71/165.
They will continue to pour the middle and end caps and columns as well as drive 30-inch piles and form up caps at northbound Kansas City Southern Railroad Overpass is also still underway.


Recently Completed:
Crews finished installing a total of 375 feet of 30-inch concrete piles at the northbound KCS Overpass and they dug up and hauled off 4,716 cubic yards of dirt and 4,344 cubic yards of the dirt was hauled to an embankment.
