DOTD to present new LA 1 Toll information to Lafourche and Grand Isle Councils April 24

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will make LA 1 Toll presentation to both the Grand Isle and Lafourche Councils on April 24.

The Lafourche Council meeting starts at 5 pm and will be held at the old Mathews Wal-Mart at 4876 Highway 1, Mathews.

The Grand Isle Council meeting starts at 6 pm and will be held at the Grand Isle Community Center 3811 Hwy 1, Grand Isle,

These presentations will cover changes to the tolling system including the addition of a new cash/charge lane. The new toll payment machines will:

·         Offer a multi-mode payment solution accepting coins, cash (exact change not necessary), credit cards, and debit card to provide non-GeauxPass customers a convenient “in-lane” method to pay their LA 1 toll.

·         Be accessed from the right lane of LA 1, and will offer two heights via a stacked or dual payment input front to accommodate travelers in any kind of vehicle, from a subcompact car to a semi-truck.
