UPDATE (5/11/23): LA 835 has been reopened to all through traffic as of 2 PM on May 11, 2023. Construction remains on going so please be prepared for possible delays when traveling through the site during daylight working hours.
UPDATE (4/10/23): Due to weather related delays in construction, the LA 835 road closure listed below has been extended through May 4, 2023, weather permitting.
The LA 835 bridge crossing Boeuf River into Morehouse and West Carroll Parishes will be closed to all traffic from Tuesday, March 7, 2023, to Friday, April 7, 2023. LA 835 will be closed from the intersection of LA 835 and Mt. Joy Road in Morehouse Parish to the intersection of LA 835 and LA 585 in West Carroll Parish. The closure is required to construct a new section of road connecting the existing LA 835 roadway and the new Boeuf River bridge. The closure is expected to take 30 total days, weather permitting.
Permit/Detour Section
Restrictions: No restrictions to traffic at this time.
Detour: No formal detour route is required at this time. LA 835 is open to all traffic.
