Mechanical issues close second Plaquemine Ferry

PLAQUEMINE— The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announce that the second Plaquemine Ferry is out of service due to mechanical issues.
The primary ferry is still operating on schedule, with weekday hours of operation Monday through Friday from 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
DOTD will notify motorists once the second boat is back in service.
