BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling more than $84 million at its Feb. 25 public bid opening, according to Gov. Bobby Jindal and DOTD Secretary William D. Ankner, Ph.D.

With a bid of $30,485,408.30, Kiewit Louisiana Co., Fort Worth, Texas, was the apparent low bidder on the most expensive job let Feb. 25, a project in St. Charles Parish calling for replacing bridge cables and related work on the I-310 Mississippi River Bridge.
