BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling more than $87 million at its Nov. 12 and Nov. 26 public bid openings, according to Gov. Bobby Jindal and DOTD Secretary William D. Ankner, Ph.D.

With a bid of $20,907,780.37, Denton-James LLC, Baton Rouge, was the apparent low bidder on the most expensive job let Nov. 12, a project in Caddo Parish calling installing drainage pipe, asphalt overlay, concrete overlay, concrete slab span and girder span bridges, and related work on I-49 North from La. 168 to the Arkansas state line.
