The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that LA 1 / LA 28 (Bolton Avenue) will be closed to thru traffic from 7:00 am January 28, 2023 until 7:00 pm January 29, 2023 to accommodate City of Alexandria water department utility repair work on Bolton Avenue between Park Avenue and Elliott Street.
Permit/Detour section
Southbound traffic: will detour left onto Park Avenue then right on 16th Street then right onto Elliott Street.
Northbound traffic: will detour right onto Elliott Street then left onto 16th Street then left onto Park Avenue.
Safety Reminder
All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
