Perkins Road Construction Update

Bluebonnet – Essen

Three crews are working on the road foundation for the new outside lanes of Perkins between Bluebonnet Boulevard and Essen Lane. Concrete paving of these new outside lanes is scheduled to begin in this phase mid- February.

All deck spans on the north and south side of the Dawson Creek bridge are complete. The remainder of the bridge will be constructed once the outside lanes of Perkins have been constructed between Bluebonnet and Essen.

Bluebonnet – Siegen

The new signal at the intersection of Perkins Road and Oakdale Drive will be install this week.

Safety

Traffic entering and exiting some streets, driveways, businesses, and subdivisions will be temporarily inconvenienced while the above mentioned crews work across their respective entrances/exits. If your business or residence has two entrances/exits, one entrance/exit will be closed temporarily during construction operations, but the other entrance will remain open allowing access to your business or residence. If your business has one entrance/exit, we will maintain traffic in and out of the business or residence while crews work across the driveway.

Motorists should expect delays and proceed through the project with caution. Be on the lookout for flaggers and construction traffic entering and exiting the highway, side streets and driveways.

All above mentioned work schedules are subject to change due to adverse weather. Please see public notices for exact times, dates and cancellations.
