I-49 @ US 165: RAMP TRUSS REPLACEMENT

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 6:00 am, weather permitting, I-49 Southbound @ US 165 Exit 86 Ramp to close for overhead Truss Replacement. This closure is expected to last until Thursday December 29, at 6:00 PM. The closure is required to replace an overhead sign on the Exit 86 Ramp of I-49 @ US 165/ US 71.

Permit/Detour Section
Detour will be as follows: Traffic on I-49 South bound needing to take Exit 86 onto US 165 will need to exit at LA 498, Exit 90. Traffic will then turn right onto LA 498, travel west to LA 1, turn left on LA 1, and travel south to US 165.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
