LA 996 (ASSUMPTION PARISH) EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE - Effective immediately there is an emergency road closure on HWY 996 approximately 2.2 miles north of HWY 70.

This emergency road closure will be in effect until further notice.

The emergency road closure is necessary to replace a collapsed culvert.

Commuters may detour HWY 996 to HWY 70 then HWY 69 back to HWY 996.

No thru traffic will be allowed. Permit loads should contact the permit office for alternate routes.
