**UPDATE**
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 115, Hessmer, Avoyelles Parish; at the Kansas City Southern Railroad; is now OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 115, Hessmer, Avoyelles Parish, will be closed at the Kansas City Southern Railroad track. The work is being done at milepost 34.593 and is on control section 033-01. The closures will start on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 7:00 AM with a reopening to traffic at 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 3, 2022. The closure is for Kansas City Southern Railroad to replace the surface thru the crossing.

Permit/Detour Section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be LA 115 to LA 1 to LA 115. The detour can accept oversized loads and will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
