DOTD announces results of Oct. 29 bid letting

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling more than $63 million at its Oct. 29 public bid opening, according to Gov. Bobby Jindal and DOTD Secretary William D. Ankner, Ph.D.

With a bid of $20,130,676.23, Austin Bridge & Road LP, Irving, Texas, was the apparent low bidder on the most expensive job let Oct. 29, a project in West Feliciana Parish calling for installing drainage pipe, asphalt overlay, concrete slab span and girder span bridges, and related work to replace six bridges on La. 66 between U.S. 61 and Angola State Prison.

Other projects by parish(es), description, apparent low bidder and bid are as follows:

Assumption – Asphalt overlay, pavement patching and related work on La. 1014 from La. 1 to 0.8 miles east of La. 1; on La. 402 from La. 403 to La. 1; and on La. 663 from La. 662 to La. 398, Huey Stockstill Inc., Picayune, Miss., $1,358,867.50.
