UPDATE: This closure will be in effect from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022. The closure will be in effect from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2022.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a single lane closure at the Grand Lake Pontoon Bridge from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wednesday October 19, 2022, and Thursday October 20, 2022.
There will be a flagging operation at the bridge, and traffic will be maintained in both directions.
The closure is necessary for preventative maintenance, which includes installing barge and fender protection devices.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
