NOW OPEN: LA 147 east of Jonesboro in Jackson Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 147 EAST OF JONESBORO HAS BEEN REOPENED TO TRAFFIC.*****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, September 26, 2022, LA 147 will be closed 2.1 miles south of LA 505, east of Jonesboro, in Jackson Parish. This road will remain closed until approximately Thursday, October 6, 2022.
The purpose of this road closure is to allow for routine bridge maintenance.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
PERMIT/DETOUR:
The detour route will be LA 34, LA 810, LA 505 and LA 147.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
