BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) considered bids totaling more than $42 million at its Jan. 30 public bid opening, according to Gov. Bobby Jindal and DOTD Secretary William D. Ankner, Ph.D.

With a bid of $11,476,968.55, James Construction Group LLC, Baton Rouge, was the apparent low bidder on the most expensive job let Jan. 30, a project in Webster Parish calling for installing drainage pipe, asphalt overlay, concrete slab span bridges and related work to replace the Dorcheat Bayou bridges on La. 157 from Springhill to La. 159.
