DOTD announces start of $3.2 million construction project on La. 13 in St. Landry & Evangeline Parish

ST. LANDRY & EVANGELINE PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, August 15, construction will begin a $3.2 million project on a 3.751-mile section of La. 13 from La. 91 to the Evangeline Parish line.

The project will include grading, milling asphalt concrete, pavement patching, asphalt concrete overlay, and related work.

Work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

There will be intermittent lane closures throughout the project. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot maximum lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.

Emergency vehicles will have access to this area.

The project is estimated for completion in Spring 2023.
