Toomey Rest Area MM 1.5 on I-10 Eastbound closure: Tuesday, Aug. 9 -- Calcasieu Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the Toomey Rest Area at mile marker 1.5 on I-10 EB in Calcasieu Parish will be closed from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022.
The closure is necessary for crews to install asphalt in the area as part of the ongoing I-10 widening project from the Texas state line to Coone Gully.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
