UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 6 between LA 476 & US 171, Sabine Parish
(UPDATE 7/2/2022): LA 6 has been REOPENED. No further road closures are anticipated. However, clean-up operations are expected to resume today so please travel with extreme caution through the area.

Original notification (7/1/2022):
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises the public that, effective immediately, there will be a road closure on LA 6 between LA 476 and US 171 in Sabine Parish.
This closure is necessary to recover the load and vehicle associated with a crash that occurred on LA 6 approximately 1.5 miles east of LA 476.
The closure is expected to last into the evening and resume tomorrow morning (Saturday, July 2, 2022).
Alternate route:
Eastbound motorists: Detour north to LA 191, north to LA 475, continue straight onto US 171 Business, south on US 171.
Westbound motorists: Detour north onto US 171, south onto US 171 Business, continue straight onto LA 475, south on LA 191.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure. All vehicles must detour.
