Iberville Parish- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces an update on the LA 75 Bayou Breaux Bridge replacement project in Iberville Parish.

In December 2021, the bridge was fully closed to allow the contractor to remove and replace the existing bridge. This project was anticipated to be completed in summer 2022, however, delays have occurred due to a cracked piling that occurred during driving operations. New plans are currently in the redesign phase to determine a new placement for the piles.

Crews are currently performing preliminary work to construct a temporary roadway near the bridge to allow motorists to travel across Bayou Breaux instead of having to detour. This roadway is estimated to be completed late summer 2022, weather permitting.

A signed detour is in place in order for motorists to access LA 75 by traveling LA 74 to LA 30 to LA 3115.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through construction sites, and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
