On Sunday, January 22, from 5 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m., I-10 east and west will be completely closed at Causeway.

The contractor will be pouring concrete over I-10 and modifying the pavement striping in order to accommodate new on ramps opening soon.

Heavy delays are expected. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate east/west routes such as Veterans, Airline, Earhart, and Jefferson Hwy.

 I-10 east closures:

All I-10 east traffic will exit at Clearview. 

Detour: Go south on Clearview to US 61 (Airline Dr.), then east on Airline to I-10 east. 

The following ramps will be closed:

I-10 east on-ramp from southbound Causeway will be closed

Detour to Airline Dr.

I-10 east on-ramp from nouthbound and southbound Clearview will also be closed

Northbound detour: Take Veterans and re-enter I-10 east at Bonnabel.

Southbound detour: Take Airline Dr. 

Note: I -10 east on-ramp from northbound Causeway will remain open.

I-10 West closures:

I-10 West will be closed at Bonnabel, all traffic will exit at Bonnabel.

 Detour to I-10 east, west on Airline Dr., north on Clearview to I-10 west

                  Traffic headed to Metairie should exit at West End Blvd.

The following ramps will also be closed:

I-10 west on-ramp from northbound Causeway will be closed.

 Detour to U-turn north of Veterans and return on Causeway south to I-10 West.

       I-10 west on-ramp from Bonnabel will be closed.

Veterans & Bonnabel detour west on Veterans and enter I-10 west at Clearview or at the temporary Severn entrance.

Finally, the I-10 west on ramp from Pontchartrain Blvd. will also be closed.

Detour to I-10 east onto Airline Dr.

Note: I -10 west on-ramp from southbound Causeway will remain open.
