I-10 WB from Mile Marker 106 to Mile Marker 104, Lafayette Parish, Lane Closure
Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 8:21:38 AM
The inside lane of I-10 westbound, from Mile Marker 106 to Mile Marker 104, will be closed from Friday, May 20 at 8:00 p.m. until Saturday, May 21 at 9:00 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to repair the Vermilion River Bridge approach slab.

There will be no vehicle width restrictions associated with this lane closure.

Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays. No detour route is necessary.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in summer 2022.
