HARVEY, La. — Mechanical repairs to the 4th Street drawbridge across the Harvey Canal are ongoing.

The bridge is set to reopen on June 11, 2022, weather permitting. This closure is necessary for crews to work on the structural rehabilitation of the moveable bridge deck. The remaining work is part of the ongoing rehabilitation project, which is estimated to cost $7.1 million.

As a detour, drivers can utilize the Harvey Tunnel or US 90 Business (Westbank Expressway).

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
