The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that, weather permitting, beginning Monday, May 2, 2022 at 7:00 pm, nightly alternating lane closures will begin on US 71 (MacArthur Drive) and adjacent frontage roads. The lane closures will extend from Lee Street to Andrews Street to allow for milling and resurfacing of the roadway. The roadway will be fully open to traffic every morning by 7:00 am. This project is expected to be completed by the end of October 2022.

There are no detours associated with this lane closure.
There are no width restrictions associated with these lane closures.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
