**UPDATE**
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD) advises the public that the work being done at these locations has been extended until Thursday, April 28, 2022 (weather permitted).

LA 1208-3(Jackson Street)
US 71 Service Road; Rapides Parish
ALEXANDRIA, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD) advises the public that beginning Sunday, April 24, at 7:00 a.m. until Monday, April 25, at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting, the following closures will be in place to allow crews to repair the damaged portions of curbing on LA 1208-3:
- LA 1208-3 will be closed 300 ft north of its intersection
- US 71 Service road, southbound left lane will be closed
- US 71 turn lane from US 71 NB service road to US 71 SB service will be closed.
Detour Section
US 71 Northbound service road: US 71 northbound service road to Southbound service road will be detoured to LA 1208-3
*** To avoid traffic delays the public is encouraged to seek alternate routes if at all possible. ***

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
