I-20: UPDATE: Night Work Starting April 10, 2022 Ouachita Parish SPN H.013564 - UPDATE

UPDATE as of 4/14/2022 due to recent weather events: Work is to commence the night of Monday, April 25,2022 (weather permitting)


NIGHTLY DELAYS: I-20 from Downing Pines to Texas Avenue, Ouachita Parish.


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces starting Sunday, April 10th, intermittent nightly work will take place from 8PM to 6AM along I-20 eastbound and westbound between Downing Pines and Texas Avenue in Ouachita Parish. This nightly work will last up to two months. This project includes re-striping and replacing reflectors in both directions of I-20.

As part of this project, a moving operation will be required. This moving operation will reduce the number of available lanes from two to one.

No work will be conducted on this project during the Easter Holiday weekend from the evening of April 14 through the morning of April 18, 2022.

The entire project is anticipated to be complete by June 2022, with progress dependent on weather conditions.

Alternate Route: No detour will be established as I-20 will remain open to traffic.
