4th Street Bridge Closure Scheduled
HARVEY, La. — DOTD is set to begin making mechanical repairs to the 4th Street drawbridge across the Harvey Canal in Harvey.
The drawbridge will be closed to vehicular and marine traffic from April 19, 2022 until June 4, 2022; weather permitting. This closure is necessary for crews to work on the structural rehabilitation of the moveable bridge deck. The remaining work is part of the ongoing rehabilitation project, which is estimated to cost $7.1 million.
As a detour, drivers can utilize the Harvey Tunnel or US 90 Business (Westbank Expressway).
