UPDATE (9/28/22): The construction work on LA 1268 in Morehouse Parish is now complete. LA DOTD appreciates the traveling public's patience and cooperation during the duration of this project.

LA 1268 has been reopened to all thru traffic as of 3 PM on June 24, 2022.

Due to construction related delays, the LA 1268 road closure listed below will be extended through Friday, June 24, 2022, weather permitting.

UPDATE (6/9/22): Due to recent weather events delaying construction, the LA 1268 road closure listed below will be extended through Monday, June 20, 2022, weather permitting.

UPDATE (5/13/22): LA 1268 in Morehouse Parish will be closed to all traffic from the intersection of LA 1268 and Airport Road to the south intersection of LA 1268 and Estates Drive from Monday, May 23, 2022 through Monday, June 13, 2022, weather permitting. The closure is required to replace an existing cross drain located on LA 1268 and is expected to take 21 calendar days to complete.

LA 1268 (Naff Avenue) in Morehouse Parish will experience various lane closures beginning Monday, January 31, 2022. The lane closures will begin at the intersection of LA 1268 (Naff Avenue) and US 165 south of Bastrop and will continue to the intersection of LA 1268 (Marlatt Street) and US 165 in Bastrop. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers and pilot vehicles to assist motorists through this area during daylight working hours. All lanes will be open during non-working hours and overnight. Construction work is anticipated to be complete by Friday, September 30, 2022, weather permitting. The lane closures are required to replace existing cross drains, install an in-place cement stabilized base course, and to install new asphalt surfacing.
