DOTD announces an upcoming Bridge Construction Project on LA 339-S & LA 339 at Bayou Parc Perdu & Creek Bridges in Lafayette Parish, SPN H.002151

UPDATE #1: This project is estimated for completion in February of 2023, weather permitting.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning January 3, 2022, construction will begin on a $2.1 million project to construct a new concrete slab span bridge on LA 339-S (Chemin Agreable Road) over Bayou Parc Perdu (Site 1), located just west of its intersection with LA 734 (Detente Road). This project will also remove and replace the existing bridge on LA 339 (Decon Road), Site 2, just south of its intersection with Chemin Agreable Road, with precast concrete box culverts.
The project will include detour roads for both sites in order to maintain through traffic; however, intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work and drivers should expect delays.
The work is estimated to take place Mondays through Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
Emergency vehicles will have access to these areas.
The project is estimated for completion in November 2022.
