LA 75 Bayou Breaux Bridge Closure, Iberville Parish

Construction has begun on State Project H.009484 LA 75: Bayou Breaux Bridge. This project is in Iberville Parish for a length of 0.205 miles. The type of work required is clearing and grubbing, removal of concrete bridge, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, asphalt concrete pavement, precast concrete piles, concrete slab span bridge, and related work.

DOTD announces that the LA 75 (Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy) Bayou Breaux Bridge will be closed beginning December 6, 2021 until the end of Summer 2022. This closure is necessary in order for crews to remove and replace the existing bridge. LA 75 will remain closed not allowing through traffic at this location to the traveling public during construction. An emergency on-site diversion will be available to first responder vehicles only in order to access residences and businesses on the West side of Bayou Breaux in the event of an emergency.

A signed detour will be in place in order for motorists to access LA 75 by traveling LA 74 to LA 30 to LA 3115.
