Safety, resurfacing project on LA 378 (Sampson Street) complete

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the safety and resurfacing project on LA 378 (Sampson Street) in Calcasieu Parish is complete.
The project milled and overlaid LA 378 from the I-10 Service Road to the north approach of the Kansas City Southern crossing. A concrete median was installed at the Union Pacific crossing to discourage motorists from driving around the gate arms when activated.
The project, which cost $597,496, began in August 2021, and the contractor was John Bailey Inc.
